Introducing the Epic Bard Box!

A Unique Tribute to Your D&D Character

Are you a Dungeons & Dragons enthusiast looking for a one-of-a-kind keepsake to commemorate your melodic character's epic adventures? Look no further than the Bard Box, a custom-made wooden box that brings your character to life in a truly unique way.

Each Bard Box is meticulously crafted with care and precision. The process begins with a high-quality wooden box, which is then engraved with an intricate design of your D&D character. But this isn't just any engraving—it's filled with epoxy and painted to create a stunning, durable finish that captures every detail of your character's likeness.

What sets the Bard Box apart is the musical notation that borders the character engraving. This isn't just decorative; it's a real song composed specifically for your character. Take, for example, Nicodemus the Famous, a legendary bard known for his daring exploits. One of his most famous (or arguably infamous) feats was slaying an evil Nothic and fashioning a necklace from the creature's 'remains.' This heroic act is immortalized in the musical notation that forms the border around Nicodemus's engraving on the Bard Box.

The Bard Box is more than just a storage solution; it's a work of art that tells a story. Whether you're storing dice, miniatures, or other gaming accessories, the Bard Box is a beautiful and meaningful way to celebrate your character's journey.

Order your custom Bard Box today and let your character's legacy live on in a truly unique and artistic way!

I especially loved making this specific box because it was for my cousin and I loved the story behind it. The bard had some galaxy far far away inspirations, who we'll just have to refer to as a loveable smuggler with a heart of gold, hence the quote on the back of the box.

The process of coming up with the music was done with a Kalimba, no less. Here's a video of the efforts to come up with it:

AI Art & The Future of Scorched Tavern

N ow that we live in the future (minus the flying cars), where AI is taking over the field of art (with just a prompt & a click of a button), we here at the Scorched Tavern have made a decision to take a different path regarding AI art. While AI-generated art offers ease & convenience, there are several reasons why we have decided not to use it on our products going forward. Embracing Artists At the heart of our decision is a deep appreciation for human creativity. Art is not just about the end product; it is about the journey, the emotions, and the unique perspective that an individual artist brings to their work. Their creations are filled with personal experiences, nuances, and emotions that can't be replicated by AI (unless those creations have six fingers). Their works are genuine, whereas AI arts tend to feel hollow. It's Just Cooler When you get your Scorched Tavern product, you should know it was made with love. Every box that I've made, I've stro...

The Making of the First Scorched Tavern Order or "Our First Sale & the Five Days of Heck!"

OCTOBER 10TH, 11:54pm The wife & I are in the basement working together on our separate business ventures. Our baby is on the floor atop some blankets behaving well; alternating between laughing, crying, & eating his foot. That's about when we hear a familiar, yet puzzling sound.  A distinct "Cha-CHING" blasting out of my phone whilst it lay upon the counter; undisturbed for some time. We shot a confused look towards each other, honestly baffled at what we'd heard. Did I win a sports bet?  Nay. Nothing was going on this late. Oh of all things, what could it be?  Confusedly, I checked my phone to discover that the noise had come from the Etsy App. I had finally done it. My first sale. Well technically a swell gentleman from New England had done it. We were damn excited it was so! 6* DAYS TO SHIP The first steps with a custom item relies on proper communication.  The way these Custom Character Dice Trays/Boxes work, you have to make sure you're giving exactl...
